246 - Establishing a religious gift shop for an unemployed man

Good evening from Batnaya, where David is open for business! The community has come out along with Bishop Thabit to celebrate the grand opening of our latest economic support project! David is part of the 10% of returnees who have returned to Batnaya and he was eager to rebuild his life. With little to no income, he had an idea for a religious gift shop, but didn’t have the financial means. Shlama fully renovated the shop, which has been given to David free of rent, along with all the stock needed. It took our team 3 weeks to complete our latest economic support project in the Nineveh Plain. Projects such as these provide much needed freelance work for community members who have returned. We wish David all the best of luck!
