Shlama from Alqosh, where we’re proud to support a young female entrepreneur in launching her own business. With funding from the Iraqi Christian Relief Council, we helped bring a new makeup and nail spa to life in Shuqa Ateeqa. Between 2024 and 2025, the Shlama Foundation invested more than $43,000 into the restoration of this historic district. Alongside efforts by the Alqosh Church and the Assyrian Aid Society, these projects have helped spark a broader revitalization. For centuries, the narrow pathways of the Shuqa Ateeqa served as the economic heartbeat of Alqosh. We hope this latest project continues that legacy and plays a role in restoring its vitality and charm.
