The Shlama Population Database is an ongoing effort to document the populations of the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac people in northern Iraq. The database is a response to NGOs overlooking smaller villages or being completely unaware of their existence. We are helping make them visible through this project. The population for each village or town is updated when Shlama implements a new project in that area.

Names in red indicate previously Christian-owned villages, but today are empty of Christians due to previous wars, massacres and forced demographic change. These villages are either now either empty land or Arab/Kurdish villages.
