More than 120,000 people were kicked out of their homes from the Nineveh Plains, Iraq on August 6, 2014 by the Islamic State. The families arrived in the neighboring cities of Duhok, Erbil and Slemani. At first, these families began their displacement lives by sleeping on the side of the streets, parks, tents, inside of Churches, and unfinished buildings. With HelpIraq organization, we were able to house more than 7 families. Today, from time to time, we try to identify the most needed, and assist them with the rent money.
