Once your donation has been received, it will be placed on our Spending List. When it is spent, you will receive an email with receipts, photos, and a video of how your donation was spent. Your name with your last initial will be listed on the website next to the project your donation went toward.

The Shlama Foundation raises money separately to cover administrative costs, such as the website, paypal fees, accounting and other fees. That way, 100% of your donation can go toward the project. That being said, if you live in the United States, we encourage you to mail a check, especially for larger donations so that we can avoid those fees. If you are interested in donating to help us with our administrative fees, CLICK HERE. We could really use the help.If you bank with CHASE, we now also accept CHASE QuickPaySM

Last, but not least, thank you! Your generosity is what keeps us alive.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Paypal does not support charities in Iraq, where we are based. They currently collect 2.9% on every donation that is accepted in an American account that we pay up to an additional 1% fee to send to Iraq. We will continue to accept Paypal for international donations and raise money to cover the Paypal fees, but we encourage you to consider donating in the following two ways, if possible: (1) If you bank with CHASE, we accept payments through CHASE QuickPaySM and (2) if you live in America, you may also write a Check or Money Order to The Shlama Foundation.
